Cindy and Hank visited Ashe County and loved the area so well, they purchased a second home in the Stonebridge Community. After traveling to the North Carolina Mountains for weekends, they made the decision to move permanently.
Hank was ready to make the move; Cindy loved the mountain, but was unsure about the winters and was reluctant to give up her career in banking. Hank retired from his profession and made the move to the cabin while Cindy remained in Florida to wrap up her job in banking.
The final move came during the worst winter ice storm the North Carolina Mountains had seen in years. While it certainly was inconvenient to move during the bad weather conditions, Hank remained optimistic that they had made the right decision. The moving truck arrived with the remainder of their furnishings, along with their adopted greyhounds (more than one) and Cindy.
Cindy and the greyhounds survived the storm and after a few months, Cindy would not live anywhere else.
Cindy is a full-time Realtor; Hank will assist Cindy in real estate, but will continue his wood working, music and other endeavors. With Cindy’s love of homes, her bubbly personality and her business acumen - she is perfect for real estate. Hank’s knowledge of the building industry, his easy going and pleasing personality along with a background in sales – they are a perfect team.
Hank loves roaming the mountains picking mushrooms, making music with his friends at the local neighborhood bar and grill. (Actually, he and Johnny are rather good.) He also enjoys woodworking and building choice pieces of handmade furniture and just being Hank. They are committed to a career in real estate, Ashe County and to making a contribution to the community.
You will see more of Hank and Cindy in and around the High Country.
