NC Mountain Farms

  • NC Mountain Farms

Michelle tells us, "Since moving to the mountains to live on our farm in the 1990s, we have discovered that the life we were living has been a dream for many people. There's a universal feeling that connects us through the ages when picking apples from our own trees, making pies and jam from berries we pick, canning the bounty in the fall, and digging our hands in our garden knowing in just a matter of weeks we'll be enjoying a salad we grew. In the colder, whiter months of winter, opening a can of cider is like making liquid the colors, scents and crispness of autumn when those apples were harvested.

Along the way, our passion for real estate lured us from our own farm to an office again, though we still make cider, grow berries, enjoy trout from our pond and veggies from the garden. Listening to our clients over the years, we have begun to focus on farms for sale in North Carolina and Virginia mountains we serve. A 34-acre llama farm listing in Grayson County, Virginia was the beginning of our excitement about farms and land to offer to buyers who want to invest in property in the High Country. Though this farm just sold to horse folks from Florida, we have other farms for sale with various acreages and features. The farms for sale from historical old farmhouses with just under 5-acres in Ashe County, NC to a fully modernized and expanded home built in 1899 in Alleghany County with 30-acres. We have homes with pasture that have never been farms, but could easily accommodate livestock. We have a beautiful estate farm with a spectacular modern home on approximately 20-acres, barn, pastures, guesthouse and pond."

We have Mountain Farms for Sale

Serious farming might not appeal to you, and all of these farms we have for sale could easily be called "gentleman farms" where you can bring a horse or two, lease pastures to other farmers, grow a few Christmas trees, keep a garden, or not! You may like a farm for your privacy and to know that you own mountain land. Or it could be that you will like the architecture of the grand old ladies, those historic homes that remind us of times gone by.

Jack and Michelle has a website showing their NC mountain farms and land for sale, and whatever farm property you are seeking, give them a call or visit their website and make your dream of a farm in the NC Mountains come true.
