Looking for a special way to get into the holiday spirit? Presented by the Ensemble Stage, the annual “Ensemble Christmas Show” on 12/17 and 12/18 is a great way to enjoy yuletide musical entertainment.
The nonprofit Ensemble Stage in Blowing Rock NC is a Professional Theatre Performing Arts Group that presents stage plays in both Blowing Rock and Boone.
Modeled after the iconic Andy Williams and Bing Crosby TV holiday specials, from the 60s and 70s, the Ensemble Christmas Show is a colorful, “fast-paced” variety show. It includes a cast dressed in their holiday finest –such as women in ball gowns and men in tuxedos--who will regale you with song, dance, comedy sketches and more.
A great way to spend the evening with family and friends, this 65-minute show is hosted by Joe Clark and features 20 performers who belt out over 30 classic and not so classic songs that celebrate the season. Feel free to sing along to classics such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and modern classics such as “Last Christmas.” There will even be a special appearance by the tap dancing Carolina Snowbellies.
