Are you missing the joy of supporting your local farmer’s and shopping local during the cold months? It may be chilly outside, but that doesn't mean all of your local farmers and producers go into hibernation in the High Country. You can find many of your favorite vendors at Boone's Winter Farmers' Market this season! The market takes place first and third Saturdays, now through April.
You'll be amazed at the selection of products that are available even in the winter months. You'll find everything from plump tomatoes to handcrafted holiday gifts. This market features a wide variety of local and seasonal fresh vegetables, storage crops, meats, eggs, honey, pasta, salsas, jellies, jams, baked items, skincare, plants, photography, crafts and much more.
Warm up with a cup of hot coffee or cocoa and enjoy the intimate sense of community that only a farmers' market can create. Live music will be provided at each market.
The space is indoors and parking is provided in the front and at the rear of the building. The Watauga County Agricultural Conference Center is located at 252 Poplar Grove Rd right in Downtown Boone.
This ongoing event is brought to you by Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture. Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture (BRWIA) is dedicated to strengthening the High Country's local food system by supporting women and their families with resources, education, and skills related to sustainable food and agriculture. The BRWIA was started as grassroots project in 2003 by a group of women farmers, gardeners, and agricultural supporters.
